Can't delete app if added to the queue

In my son's fr55 there's an app that is relatively big. There's a new version of the app. It has been added to the queue and started to be downloaded, but then there's an error message: memory is full. So far so good. However now it's stuck. I can't remove this all, because there's no ... menu in it, only a share button.

Anybody knows how to fix this? Without Garmin Express. And without the stupid workaround that would make me delete other apps just to be able to update this app and then delete it, and then reinstall all the deleted apps and set them up again?

  • Hello!

On the Garmin Forerunner 55, a failed app update can get stuck if memory is full. To fix it without Garmin Express, restart the watch, clear the Connect IQ cache in the Garmin Connect app, or uninstall the app directly via the Connect IQ Store app on your phone. A fresh e-zpassnc sync from Garmin Connect may also reset the queue. If none of these work, the only option is to temporarily free space by removing another app, letting the update finish, then reinstalling.

  • I managed to delete it... I know this is crazy, but maybe it will help someone in the future, so this is what I did:

Closed Connect IQ app, then opened it, went to my device, there to the app and immediately as it opened the app's details page I noticed that sometimes the ... is present for half a second, before it's replaced with the share icon. So I went on trying to click on it. I managed to click on it, but before I was able to click the Remove App it was replaced by the share icon... So I kept on trying until I managed to also click on the Remove all :) It took me something like 20 tries. Maybe slow internet might also help.
