I tried to update an app in Connect IQ android app I got this popup: 
 
 Connect IQ app should display which permission it refers to.

Please try to uninstall/reinstall the Connect IQ app and double check that the phone is up to date with software. If you are still having an issue reply back if this is just happening with one app or multiple.
