Not sure what exactly you mean by the implementation, but all current Montana models ( 710, 710i, an 760i) do pair with Garmin Connect on a phone.
Or are you rather asking a direct implementation of the Garmin Connect functionality on the device? AFAIK, Garmin did not announce any such plans.
Hallo
Sure, I have a 750i. This doesn't work!
Support has since confirmed this to me.

Strange, because the specifications claim the opposite even for Montana 750i:
And there is also a chapter Using Garmin Connect in the user manual. So if you have problems to add your Montana, make sure you followed the instructions accurately. See them for example at Pairing the Montana 700 Series with a Phone or Tablet | Garmin Customer Support
Yes, that's what it says in the data for both. The fact is, support said a connection to Garmin Connect isn't possible.
Perhaps someone can test it.
I wanted to use the Komoot route transfer feature with Garmin Connect. But now I have to go through the Garmin Explorer App.

Chat GPT:
The Garmin Montana 750i cannot be connected to the Garmin Connect app because Garmin Connect is simply not designed for this type of device.
The Montana 750i belongs to the Outdoor and inReach series, and these devices are officially only supported by the Garmin Explore app (for maps, tracks, and waypoints) and the Garmin Messenger app (for messages/emergency calls).
Garmin Connect, on the other hand, is designed for fitness and wearable devices such as Forerunner, Fenix, Venu, etc. It cannot sync data or perform Bluetooth pairing with outdoor devices in this series.
Which error are you getting when adding your Montana to the Garmin Connect app, or at which step does it fail?
The Montana is found in the Connect app. The connection times out at some point. The PIN request is not triggered, as it is when connecting with the Explorer app.
BTW, it is unclear whether you refer to the Garmin Connect IQ, or the Garmin Connect app. They are two very different apps. While you are posting on the Connect IQ app forum, you speak about Garmin Connect. Which of them you cannot connect to?
Sorry
I'm talking about "Garmin Connect"
The connection times out at some point.
Remove/forget Montana from the list of Bluetooth devices on the phone first (important !!!), and then set Montana into the paring mode, and attempt to add it to Garmin Connect again. Do not pair it from the phones BT menu, only use Garmin Connect!
