Connect IQ store not working

Connect IQ store has stopped working on my Android.

Done all the usual stuff, logged off, cleared cache/data, uninstalled/reinstalled, tried wifi and cell data connection. Nothing.

My wife, with Garmin on Apple, has no issues. And I can login to the website (https://apps.garmin.com).

The android app hasn't been working for about a week now Cry

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Roland.

  • Hello,

I have the same issue. No way to connect, even after cleaning data/cache and reinstalling.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks

  • I've opened a ticket with Garmin support, but not heard anything yet. Hopefully soon.

I don't believe it's a problem with connecting to the Garmin IQ server. I think my watch has become unassociated with the store.

I removed my watch from Garmin Connect and re added it. From Garmin connect I can open the store, but my watch is missing. Trying to open the store directly results in the server connection error, which is clearly not true as other users can connect (like my wife).

Not sure what else I can try?

  • I do have the sam issue. I tried everything. What a time waste and a hassle. The Garmin Tactix amoled wasn't even cheap and I expect that everything works, but Garmin employees reply with cheap replies like 'indeed, our watch is an awesome tool, but if You are not willing to disinstall everything and re-install everything, then it is not our fault'. Actually, I did all these steps, but still nothing works. Ergo: 1 Star.

  • The best part: these criticisms seem not to be appreciated by Garmin. Most of these blogs have been locked by Garmin, so that no one can write anything about it anymore. Terrible company politics.

  • Same issue in my case. Cannot connect to server on android only. Latest version from July 15th.

    The iOS app works OK.

  • Fixed it !!!

The problem is in the Connect <-> Connect IQ store relation.

I uninstalled the garmin connect app, then starting the connect IQ store was flawless - logged in w/o any issue.

Reinstalled Garmin Connect and that allowed to relink all devices without any further setup required.

Now all works fine! - I thought this might help anyone facing this.

  • Yes! That fixed it for me too. Thank you!
