I reply to my own question in order to close it. In fact I was trying to refresh a nüvi 1340 belonging to my mother in law. I succeeded to update the OS to 6.30 and hoped a refreshed french map would come with it. But no (unless you pay around 85 euros). This day will have been my first and last day with Garmin ! Hopefully I offered her recently an Androïd and will just have to train her on... Waze (very free and powerful) ! . Stange marketing position from Garmin not to try to keep its senior customer base...
