How can I keep my seconds hand up on AOD?

Descent mk3i

I called support and they told me I couldn't with any of their stock watch faces, and mentioned I might be able to with one from connect iq. I couldn't find a way to search for that, or even tell, without installing and trying out each individual one. I wouldn't be opposed to paying somebody to do it, or going through the effort of figuring out how to code my own, but I'm seriously considering returning the watch if I can't come up with something.

I know battery life will obviously be diminished to some extent, but I rarely have to charge it as it is, charging it a little bit more often doesn't concern me. I've consistently been pulling my wrist up, waking up the display, and watching the second hand, until it times out before I'm done, and it's gotten pretty frustrating. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

  • You can simply start any activity and let it running in the background, coming back to the main watchface (either with the Back button, or with a Hot Key). As long as the activity runs, the watchface continues showing the seconds. Use an indoors activity in order to avoid too high power consumption by the GPS at outdoor activities.

Not sure whether it works with MK3, although I assume it does, since it works in that way on all models I tested.

  • Thank you, I'll give that workaround a shot for now! It'd be nice if I could just set a specific watch face for the AOD, as I like the simple classic watch face, but having all my extra info on the actual screen. Maybe they'll come out with something on an update, but that'll be a great quick solution for now, thank you!

  • Does not work with the MK3 Disappointed unless I'm doing something wrong... I tried "fish" "stair stepper" and "row" using the back button and a hot key both to get back to the home screen, and it still times out
