Connect IQ - Komoot

Hi,

I'd really appreciate if someone could help with my problem.

I recently purchased a Garmin Edge 520. I manage to pair my Garmin Edge 520 with my phone with no problems, so the devices are now paired. Interestingly Komoot app seems to already be installed on the Garmin Edge 520 when I go into the "Connect IQ".

When I load Komoot (from the Garmin edge 520) I then link my Komoot account and that seems to pair fine, showing my planned tours. The plan tours load, however, when I click on one to start the route or provide the mapping system for the route, I get the blue IQ sign with a yellow exclamation mark just above the logo to the right.

I can't seem to load any of my planned tours from Komoot onto my Garmin edge 520.

Please someone help.

Thank you.

  • komoot app crashes. I suggest you to contact  komoot support/developers.
there's though a workaround with a phone and a 3rd party ciq app

  • I'm having the same problem with an Oregon 700 and with an Edge 1030. So far I could not find an official error description nor a reasonable work-around. This is pretty annoying since it seems to exist for several weeks/months already. I observed this behavior in late fall last year for the first time.

And did you already speak to Komoot? It is them who wrote the CIQ app. We cannot help you much. They coud send you a version compiled with the debug option, and obtain so the crashlog from you, which would reveal the reason of the crash (yes, the logo means the app crashed).
