Garmin, are you still with us? The problem still exists, although there were several updates. It's really annoying that I have to plug my watch to the PC and use Express to change settings.

Several weeks ago I sent videos from Connect Mobile (has the same problem) and Connect IQ to the German support. They gave it to the developer team.
Hope they can fix it for once as you all guys have this problem for a while
I tried that. Installed Connect Mobile 4.48 on my phone and it works. Connect IQ 2.10 worked, too. But it downgraded a watchface and messed up my watch. So I use Connect Mobile only.
as of the time this is posted . For me niether connect or the IQ app will even do a thing when you click on save.... NOTHING whats so ever.. You can change settings all you want but it will not save... Have uninstalled reinstalled downgraded,upgraded etc etc etc. the issue is GARMIN as per usual ...
Which Android version do you have on your phone? Unfortunately as for now, the GMC team is unable to reproduce the issue, please check the following bug report:
