My name is Guilherme, I'm Oceanographer and work as Hydrographic Surveyor over the world for the last 15 years.
Fishing was always my passion/hobby, and I see now a nice opportunity to combine it with my professional knowledge. We are assembling a boat very soon with Garmin equipment. The idea is to make it for a nice clear view until 300m depth, explore known spots and find new ones.
As a surveyor, I would like to make data collection and be able to process, clean and store bathymetric data out of our fishing trips. Maybe even create 3D models out of our fishing grounds. We have already a preview list of the Garmin equipment we are purchasing, and I would like to know if we can open a dialogue to check if it's the most indicated for our purposes. Also check where I can find tips in order to export raw multibeam data out of the Garmin module. Please see the preview of the equipment list below:
- Garmin GPSMAP 1223xsv Combo GPS/Fishfinder
- Garmin GPSMAP 1223 Non-Sonar w/WorldwideBasemap (x2)
- Garmin Radar Fantom 18x com 50 Watts Doppler
- Garmin MSC 10 Marine Satellite Compass
- Garmin GSD 28 Advanced Sonar Module 2KW/3KW XChirp
- TRANSDUCER Airmar PM111LH Pocket Mount
- TRANSDUCER Garmin Panoptix PS70
- TRANSDUCER Thru-Hull Garmin GT51-TH
- Garmin Navionics Vision+ NVSA012R Brazil
- Garmin GMS 10 Network Port Expander

If somebody has any experience with that, please contact me.
