Garmin Quick Drawn Community Web Site Not Available Anymore

The "Quick Drawn Community Web Site" has been replaced by Active Captain for the purpose of transferring community Quick Draw contours to/from a chart plotter.

I have shared all my recorded Quick Draw contours to this site, mainly as a mean to back them up, and then to transfer them back to my chart plotter, in conjunction with the data collected by other users for the same area.

My current  issues is that my chart plotter (Echo Map CHIRP) does not support WIFI, so it is not compatible with Active Captain, so there is no way that I know of, on how to retrieve the Quick Draw  contours that I backed up on the subject's web site.

Also, I did not find a way to upload new quick draw contours that I will record.

Anyone if in the same situation and has a solution for this issue?

Suggestion for Garmin: Please make leave this site available at least for download only!

  • I second that request Garmin. If you don't want to support the site then disable the ability to upload but at least give your customers the ability to do a final update from the existing content we've already spent countless hours on. Active Captin is alright but it's not a great replacement. And with the Quickdraw Website I can bring up a picture of the lakes on a big monitor and look over potential hotspots. Using a phone/tablet limits your viewing compared to a monitor/TV size.
