Quickdraw contour files not loading on 73DV and 93SV chartplotters

Hi All- New forum member here.

I downloaded a Quickdraw contour .qcc file from the Garmiin Connect site and tried to load it in both my chartplotters. One of which is an older 73DV and the other a slightly newer 93SV. Both have the latest updates installed and work perfectly otherwise. The .qcc file was downloaded to a macbook pro and moved to a new SD card that was formatted in FAT32 and placed in a folder named Garmin.

Both units display the same message when I try to load the file: "Quickdraw Contours community content install failure". Does anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this or ideas on what the problem could be?

Create a folder named : \Garmin\Quickdraw\

Put your QCC file in that folder and try again.

No Luck, still didn't work. I noticed a \Garmin\Quickdraw\Contours\ folder and placed the.qcc files in there, same result. Is there any other way to view the .qcc files so as to be sure they are not corrupt?

I'm not sure how the integrity of a QCC file can be checked.

Thank-you for the file upload, still no luck. I tried the file on a freshly formatted SD card in a Garmin\Quickdraw\ folder, then in just the \Garmin folder. Even tried it in the root directory, just keep getting the same message, "Quickdraw Contours community content install failure".

I would try to install the QCC file after each one of these changes:

Ensure the SD cars size is not more than 32 GB and formatted as FAT32
Ensure the latest firmware is installed
Copy the built-In Maps to your SD card
Restore the chart plotter to its default factory settings

If this does not work, I'm not sure how to proceed.

Thank-you for your time and input. I tried as you suggested above, still unable to import .qcc files. The firmware was up to date on both units and factory resets were done. They both can see the .qcc files on the SD card as the message I get suggests but can't install it. I'm thinking that .qcc files made with newer chartplotters running newer software versions may have other data that older units may not be able to load, causing the file to be rejected. That of course is just a guess. When the weather gets warmer I'll try making a contour map with the 93sv and import it to the 73dv just to see what happens.

Still didn't work, no luck. When I put the.qcc files in the \Garmin\Quickdraw\Contours\ folder that I found, the same thing happened. To make sure the.qcc files are not corrupt, is there another way to see them?
