Mobile is connected to WiFi but status is not connected on my Garmin device.

I have successfully connected my phone to my Garmin device, but when I continue searching for compatible devices, there is none found. No compatible devices found. In some parts of the app it seems connected, but on the other hand not. I have successfully registered my device, but when I try to update the software, I must connect to WiFi and continue. However, I am already connected. So frustrating.

Same here. orange exclamation mark and message "No compatible devices detected." Garmin can NEVER get the simplest Wifi/Bluetooth connectivity to work reliably. Did you ever get past this? Is there a solution other than returning their expensive, non-functional equipment to the store that sold it?

Have you overcome this at all? Is there another way besides sending their pricey, broken equipment back to the retailer?
