How to trouble shoot the "Linking accounts failed" in my Garmin Connect in IOS

Hi I am new to Garmin and I would just like to ask how to troubleshoot the "Linking accounts failed" when i tried to connect my Garmin to MyFitnessPal (See first image).

I tried connecting the MyFitnessPal app to my Garmin by going to the "Calories In/Out" section of my Garmin Connect on my IOS but it always says "Linking Accounts failed." I also tried the following:

1) Linking the Garmin device through the MyFitnessPal app in their Apps & Devices Section. This does not however connect my MyFitnessPal to my Garmin Connect as although there is a prompt saying that the MyFitnessPal is already connected to my Garmin (See second image), the MyFitnessPal does not register as a connected app to my Garmin Connect and vice versa 

2) Connecting the Garmin and MyFitnessPal through their respective web browsers. Same result as #1 above.

3) Resetting and logging out all my accounts and trying to log back in my garmin and MyFitnessPal accounts. This does not resolve the issue.


How can I solve this issue? Please help.
