Hey all, new Garmin user here. Just installed a Striker 9sv yesterday and I'm excited to take it out. The reason I purchased this unit was so that I could map my small, local lakes. A few were already available in the Quickdraw Community for download - so I added them to the app.
I made waypoints, and did a sync with the unit - I assume they are now installed there. 3 small questions though:
1. Do I need a memory card to create NEW Quickdraw Contour maps on my unit?
2. Will my new contours overwrite the ones that I have downloaded?
3. Is there a way to also record the sonar, or any sort of bottom imaging when you are recording contours? I have a small unit called the Deeper Pro+ that allows you to record both the bottom contours and the sonar, so you can walk through it later and look for bottom structure you may have missed.
