SD Card Map not working. "Cannot unlock maps. Maps are corrupted and cannot be used."

I purchased "Garmin City Navigator Europe NT - Benelux & France" for my new Garmin nuvi 56 LMT.
However after installing the SD-Card into my device and turning it on, it displays "Cannot unlock maps"
"Maps are corrupted and cannot be used. Go to www.garmin.com/express to download the latest maps."

I've installed all possible updates by Garmin Express, but the above messages still appear and the device don't recognize the European maps at all.

I need those maps really urgently.

What can I do in order to resolve it ???

If you've purchased the maps on a card go back to the retailer as it will need replacing. Express has nothing to do with maps supplied on a card.

You think the card is actually corrupt, as opposed to the problem being with the GPS unit (ie. not enough memory)?

I received the card from Amazon on Friday, and am leaving on Tuesday for France. So replacing the card is not really an option for me...

Yes, I think the card is corrupt. But you could check by installing Basecamp and seeing if that will read the card.
