Forerunner 10 won't connect to Garmin Express & keeps freezing

I've only had my forerunner 10 since Christmas but already it's started to stop working. It freezes every time I go to save the run and it also is no longer detected by the Garmin Express application... I deleted the device from Garmin Express (following advice on a different forum) but that hasn't worked.
Does anyone have any ideas?

If the device is freezing when just saving a run I would recommend talking to the device support team by phone.
