Garmin express problems with Forerunner 405cx

Hello, I´ve been trying to transfer a trainning sesion I made on garmin connect to my forerunner 405cx without success. A get an error screen while transfering and the sesion is not on my watch.
I have the most recent garmin express version of software 4.1.2.0 I´ve found.
Running on Mac OSX 10.8.5

    I just tested sending a workout from Connect to my Forerunner 405 with no errors. How was your workout created? Did you create it manually or from an activity? Is it just one workout that fails to send or all? Have you tried creating a short test workout to see if it successfully sends to the device? Are you sending the workout from the Calendar or from the Workouts page? Do activities on the Forerunner 405CX upload or do they give an error as well? Do you have any failed transfers in the PendingSyncDownloads folder on your Mac? If so, trash any files still in this folder and empty the trash on your Mac. This folder can be found here:

    /Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/RegisteredDevices/Unit ID/PendingSyncDownloads

    The user Library folder is hidden by default in Mac OS 10.7 and higher. To open the user Library folder:

    • Open Finder
    • Click Go (at top of menu bar)
    • Select Home
    • Click Go (at top of menu bar)
    • Click Go to Folder
    • Type Library
    • Click Go button


    Try removing the device from Garmin Express and Garmin Connect and re-pair it: How do I delete a fitness device from Garmin Express?. Does the workout send after that?

    If you are still unable to send your workout, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.

  • Thanks for your detailed explanation, I´ll try to answer to your questions:

    How was your workout created? Did you create it manually or from an activity?
    I created manually from connect.
    Is it just one workout that fails to send or all?
    All the trials I´ve made with workouts do not send it to the watch

    Tried both without success

    The upload is correct without any problem
    Do you have any failed transfers in the PendingSyncDownloads folder on your Mac?
    Yes I did, now following the procedure you´ve explained I don´t

    I tried all the procedure you´ve described, and still no luck,same problems.

    I am sorry that you are still having trouble. I don't see your 405CX on your account. Is this under a different display name?

    I also see that you have two other devices on your account. Are you able to send workouts to those devices? If you are able to send to those devices but not this one, I think a master reset would be the only remaining step to try.

    If this does not solve the problem, please contact Product Support by phone to troubleshoot the issue.
