Garmin Express can not find Edge 1000 device on Mac (OS 10.10)

Just bought a Garmin Edge 1000 but I can not get Garmin Express to locate the device.
I have downloaded Garmin Express and followed the online instructions including connecting the device via the USB port, however, nothing is happening.

Any ideas?

Try the troubleshooting in our FAQ How do I verify a physical connection of a USB GPS device to a Mac?

Also try using another computer. If the issue still persists, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
