Garmin tactix no longer supported on Garmin Express?

I downloaded downloaded the new release 4.0.23.0 of Garmin Express on Mac. Connecting my Garmin tactix, it's recognized, but Garmin Express is telling me the device is not supported. Why is that?

I am sorry for the troubles. Garmin Express is compatible with the Tactix watch. Please make sure the firmware on the watch is up to date at version 4.80. If the version is to far back Garmin Express may not detect it as a valid device. Use the Garmin WebUpdater to update to the latest version if needed.

The device had the latest software and reinstallation failed due to a corrupt file. Turned out that the time zone file was defect. Deleted, now being connected to Garmin Express again.
