Unable to sync Edge 705, and thus upload new courses

I have tried multiples times today to sync my Edge 705 to Garmin Express so I can upload two new courses for my rides tomorrow. It fails to sync and as a result I am also unable to load the courses.

My software is up-to-date: I downloaded new versions of GarminExpress and GarminCommunicator today.
Garmin Express states that my device is up-to-date.
I have re-started my browsers several times (both Safari and Chrome).
I have re-started Garmin Express several times.
I have re-started MyGarmin several times.
I have re-started GarminConnect several times.
I have disconnected my Edge 705 several times, powering it off each time.
I have deleted older courses directly from my Edge 705.

The error message reads:"There was an error syncing with Garmin Connect."
What should I do?

Thanks

(ps. If this doesn't work, my next step is to try Wahoo.)

I have the same problem. Started yesterday after updating Garmin Express to 4.0.23. Also with a Edge 705. I tried all those things as well. If I go back to connect and delete the course from the synch queue, the synch goes well. I just can't send a course to device. So much for directions on my ride tonight. This is the primary reason for using a Garmin for me.
  • Currently we have identified an issue with sending Courses from Connect to the Edge 305/605/705 in both Modern and Classic view. This issue has been reported to the Garmin Connect Team. These devices are all older and work with the TCX file formats which appears to be the culprit. There is no ETA on a resolution at this time.
