New Garmin 600 4.2 firmware - can't sync to Garmin Connect manually or automatically

Hi,

I found another thread on this topic, which was closed, so I couldn't reply. Anyway I'm having the same issues. The moderator in the other thread simply posted this link, which is a generic help link for Garmin Connect, not too useful, and closed the thread:

As mentioned in the other thread, there's no options for Garmin Connect when opening Garmin Express with this device. Either from the Express app or the Connect webpage.

I found a URL about doing this manually by turning Garmin Connect into "Classic" mode and uploading from there using the Communicator Plugin, but when I did that it said "Communicator Plugin isn't found on your computer" even though I had just installed it.

So, what is the officially supported way to use Garmin Connect with an Oregon 600??

Also Where can I submit the following problems I experienced while using garmin.com?

1. Software Download pages detect my computer as "MAc" even though it's generic Windows 7 installation (could this be part of the problem above?)
2. Several EXE file downloads are setup with the wrong SSL certificate (makes you accept a prompt to proceed with invalid SSL Certificate to download the file(!!!) certificate is for "akamaized.com")

    edit: communicator plugin now working. Is this the only way? Is Express auto-sync officially not supported for Oregon & connect? Safe to say that's a nicer feature I think many would use and expect, whether having a "Sport" device or not

    Express will not automatically trasfer any data on that device to connect. You can however, manually upload the gpx files from the device to connect if you would like to view it within connect. As far as problems with the website, I would suggest calling support.
