Brand New Forerunner 220 won't sync

I just bought a brand new Forerunner 220 today. I have had a Forerunner 201 for 7 years. My new Garmin won't sync with computer nor through Bluetooth. I feel scammed and completely frustrated. Any suggestions?

    I am sorry that you are having trouble syncing your Forerunner 220. Are you getting an error message in Garmin Express when you try to sync? It is possible that there is a corrupt activity on the device. You can try manually uploading the activities on Garmin Connect and then deleting them from the device. If any of the files fail to upload on Connect, it is most likely corrupt and will need to be removed.

    If this does not help, it would be best to contact support by phone so that we can troubleshoot the issue.

    How can it be that your software cannot detect and process corrupt data without it causing a complete sync failure? This should be Janet and Jon defensive coding, and no serious application should ever go to market without it.
