Feature Request: Install from already downloaded maps

This morning I set about updating my maps, but because I wasn't quite sure where my Zumo was I just had Garmin Express do it for "Computer Only", about a three hour download on my rural network connection. It completed successfully, and in the meantime I found the device. I plugged it in and set Garmin Express to updating it ... only to be dismayed to see it going through another 3 hour download because it won't use the data that is already on my computer. I'd hope it would be much smarter about this.

I guess maybe in BaseCamp I could have used "Send Maps to Device", yes? Still, it'd be cool for Garmin Express to do it sensibly.

Garmin Express does cache the maps on the computer when an update is completed so that the maps do not need to be downloaded again. However, when you update the maps on a Garmin device, the there is more content than what is required to install the maps to the computer only to assist with features such as junction view so there will be more downloading required if you install to the computer first and then update the device.

Yes if all you want to do is update the device's map. But you wouldn't get an update of all the other features like junction view. It's why you need to use Express.
