Garmin Express USE to work with Fenix 3, now it crashes if I attach the Fenix 3

Garmin Express USE to work with Fenix 3, now it crashes if I attach the Fenix 3. Don't attach the Fenix 3 and it starts up. I can replicate this every time. For 5-6 days now I have had no issues and now.. out of the blue for no reason at all.. no way to attach Fenix 3 and start up Garmin Express.

3.2.33.0 is my GE version; older, but I have an older Mac and like I said, it worked fine for 5-6 days - even this very morning - and now.... crash no matter what when I attach the Fenix 3, opens fine if no attach it. Attach it when GE is open, GE crashes instantly.

ps - I dug up an old Garmin NUVI gps unit I had.. no issues. Does not crash GE. Loads fine, no problems.
  • I installed GE on a second User account - a clean test User account - and it loads up fine. BUT, attach the F3 and it crashes.

So the more and more I consider this, the more I think there is some file corruption on that F3 someplace.
  • crash report - can anyone help on this report?

  • Notice in the final line, 3 mentions of "IQ collection"... I wonder if this is IQ related on the F3 itself as this all started because of some loading up of IQ content (widgets/apps/data fields).
  • Finally decided to say F** it and factory reset. That worked. Now GE connects.

Some corrupt file ON the F3 as opposed to GE.
