Garmin Edge 1000: "send to device" failure

Maybe this issue has been resolved before or been asked before. Here it goes anyway. I bought a new Edge 1000 and I have been trying to create new course and segment but I have trouble uploading them to my Edge 1000. It kept telling me to download it to "Garmin Express." I have the "express" already and it is not doing anything. I have the current software for everything. I am currently using Macbook and I am not sure if this is the main issue. For sure, 150% that I am using the Mac download.
As of right now, I am using Strava, thank God, to pre-plan my ride.

Any help would be great.

    I am sorry that you are having trouble syncing your course. The reason that you are unable to send your course to your device is because your Edge 1000 is not added into Garmin Connect. To add your device to connect, you just need to add it to Garmin Express and enter your Connect credentials when prompted. If your device is already added to Garmin Express, remove the device first and then add it again.
