Can't add Apps to my new Fenix 3

Hi,

I got my Fenix 3 two days ago, and when I try to "manage" or get more APPS for it in Garmin express, I get an apology from garmin, and it says:

"Error There's a problem with our servers which means that Express is temporarily unavailable. We're working as fast as we can to get it back up and running. Please Try again later."

I would like to confirm that this is really a problem, and since this has been going on for the first 2 days with my new Fenix 3, when this issue will be corrected.

Is there another way to upload apps to my fenix 3?

Regards,

Alex

I am sorry that you are having trouble with Garmin Express. I would recommend following the steps in this FAQ:
What should I do if I receive a server error while using Garmin Express?

Make sure that when you check your date and time, that you also check the time zone. It is fairly common (especially just after the time change) for the time zone to be off even if the time is correct.

  • Thanks Jason,

My computer time/time zone is not the issue.

Specifically, I tried to download the "Resting Heart Rate" APP to my Fenix 3, using the latest garmin connect app on my mac, and it is not visible anywhere on my fenix 3. Where is it?

  • I also have updated to the latest version of express for Mac, 4.0.8.0. I now no longer get the Garmin Server error from my original post.
My Fenix 3 is also updated to the latest firmware, 2.90.

I sent 2 different apps to the fenix3, but they are not visible/accessible anywhere on the Fenix 3. How do I access and use the apps I supposedly installed???

You should be able to access the Apps on the Fenix 3 by selecting Settings and then Apps from the menu. If your app isn't there, check to see if there is anything in the Apps folder on your device when you plug it into the computer so that we can determine if the problem is with Express or not.
