Fenix 3 - cant connect to server issue

Just got fenix 3 - added device and cant connect to servers. Never had this issue with Edge 510 and Fenix 2.

Are the servers down at the moment?

Have installed the latest garmin express and checked the date/time settings.

  • I'm at work at the moment so I can't check but it was OK last night when I uploaded an activity from my Fenix 3.
  • We are not currently having issues syncing. Typically this is a date/time/timezone issue. If you are up to date on Express(4.0.6) and removed/added the device, I would suggest contacting support.

    I'm receiving the same issue. It downloads the map update to about 8minutes remaining and then gives me the message that the connection to the Garmin server is lost.
  • As Albert said there are no issues with the fenix 3 we can reproduce in house but if your fenix 3 doesn't have the latest firmware on it you can use the Web Updater to update to 2.90. Once the fenix3 has this latest sw version try to add it to Express agian.

    I have just received my Fenix 3 and also cannot connect - constantly getting the 'Cannot connect to Garmin Servers' message. It worked with my original Fenix, I have deleted and re-installed Express and made all the other recommended checks. I have also updated the F3 firmware via Webupdates.

    Very frustrated - can you help?
