The new express version 4.0.4 seems to be broken when using Swedish. It starts up, but no window appears and basically all menu items except quit are greyed out. Changing system language to English seems to help.

Express works for me as long as I have English set when I start it, I can change back to Swedish after and keep Express running. So that's a workaround until Garmin fixes the problem.
I have duplicated this issue for both Swedish and Italian language settings on the Mac and created a ticket for our development team. I have noted this thread URL in the ticket but you may receive an email when it is resolved, instead of an update to this post.
The Garmin Express window fails to open when using non-English languages as the primary language on the Mac only when Garmin Express has been updated from 3.2.x to 4.0. When it is a clean install, the language is supported properly. The upgrade process should be corrected in a future version of Garmin Express. In the meantime, you can do a full uninstall of Garmin Express and then a clean install of 4.0.4. Here is our FAQ on how to completely uninstall Garmin Express:
Same here with Dutch. You need to uninstall older version with app delete or something else. Then it works. Second issu is that with the new version, once you have installed the maps, you have no possibility to re- install on your mac. Advanced function is disappeared.
