Problem with map update

I just bought 3598 LMT-D and received it on Friday. I have been installing the Garmin Express, was able to download the system related updates. The Maps (whole Europe) is not going through. It was updating about 10 hours last night. Express doesn't give any note, but on system side, it says that 98% of internal memory is in use. I bought 16GB microsd, installed it. The system is stopping and saying 16 min left... and it has not being going further since 7 hours now...

- Macbook Pro (Yosemite), Safari in use

I'm starting to be depressed...
  • Something is preventing the update, probably the fact that internal memory is so full. I'd disconnect, remove the memory card and run Express again. Insert the card only when Express asks for it.

    Exactly the same problem here

Also with MAC and installing the Europe-map (I own the 3597-model). It keeps saying that it's configuring (doesn't say what) and stays on '16 minutes remaining'. No option to select the memory card or whatsoever. Very frustrating. By default: 98% on board memory is full. No way to update the map. Nice job, Garmin.
  • Frustrating it must be but it's likely the problem is somewhere in your system blocking the download/installation. The Express team should be able to help when they pop in.
