310XT not transferring to Garmin Connect via G/Express since 5 Jan. Now 96 items wait

Since Jan 05 2015 data has been transferring from my 310XT on to my computer via Garmin Express but failing to upload to Garmin Connect.
Have tried full resetting the XT and uninstalling and re-installing G/Express - now on 23 Jan G/E still adds on new data but is 96 items backed up and not sync-ing through to GC.

I am sorry for the troubles. I recommend that you contact us by phone. If you would like to attempt to get your data transferred you can use the two FAQ's below. Use the first one to locate the files on the computer that have not uploaded. Use the second for instructions on manually uploading the file to Connect.

Where do my activities go on the computer before they are uploaded to Garmin Connect?

How do I manually upload data from USB Mass Storage devices to Garmin Connect?

    1. locate the files on the computer.
    2. Login to your Connect account.
    3. Goto the Activities page.
    4. Click the Import link
    5. Browse to the activity files and upload them. You have to do one file at a time.

There is no guarantee the files are still on the computer. If your not comfortable with the file structure on the computer I suggest you contact us by phone. We should be able to get you back up and running. Again I am sorry for the troubles.

Dear Curt - thanks for your prompt reply last Friday. And apologies for the delay. I found, on my computer, an HTTP Status report 500 which said there had been an internal error.
I surmise therefore that everything loaded is kaput. (And I am happy, by now, to get rid of it) Is it possible to clear that stack (of files?) and just start loading up new stuff from my 310 XT again once that is done? How would I do that?
    Many thanks
    Rob
PS in Garrmin Express preferences, after auto launch at login, there is a box saying send files to Garmin. When I click on that it asks for a Garmin Customer Care no. What is that?
  • ROBERTDOUGALL

Yes, all those files can be moved to Trash and deleted. The function to send files to Garmin is used when Technical Support asks customers to send log files that Garmin Express creates on the computer for troubleshooting purposes. When needed, a code is provided to the customer to send the log files.

    Dear Lisa - Thanks.
How/where/what must I do to I find the files on my Mac? (The closest I got was that HTTP Status report 500.)

I am having the same issue with my 310 and G/Ev- and ironically I get an error message when i click on the link to the FAQ link about the files on my computer. Arrggh!!!
  • My Garmin 310xt successfully uploads about 2 in 3 workouts. The others are lost. I'm not very happy.

The FAQ section referenced above is a broken link.

i've tried resetting, tried installing the software on another computer. Still I'm losing workouts on a regular basis.

The internet is full of people with the same issue. Where is the resolution guys?!
  • Here is the URL for the FAQ in the earlier post.

Copy and paste the URL above.

Dear Curt - Thank you for the FAQ link above. However, as before it just gives me a HTTP 500 report - which may or may not be the files on my computer you refer to.
This report I cannot seem to delete either.
I am no closer to getting my Garmin 310XT to be able to download to Garmin Connect.
    What do you suggest?
Is there any way I can start from scratch again?
