Vivofit - won't transfer to Garmin Express. Stuck on same file every time

Hi

For the last two days I've been unable to upload anything from my Vivofit to Garmin Express.

When the Sync starts I can se there are some 26 items to Sync. It goes through the first 21 and I can see the status change to "Waiting to upload" but the next one remains in "Transferring" status forever. The remainder on the list are all "Waiting to transfer". Garmin Express just hands and I eventually need to do a "Force Quit".

If I cancel and restart the Sync the process starts again - more items obviously - but it always sticks on the same item in "Transferring" status.

This was all working fine a few days ago - despite the other issues on Garmin Connect.

I'm running on OS X Yosemite 10.10 if that makes any difference.

Any clues? It really looks like one item that refuses to transfer.

  • I take it you mean upload to Connect? Express just helps the sync.

    If it's sticking on one item then it's likely that is corrupted, are you able to remove it then try again?

    Well this is a message in the Express window. I don't know what it means by "waiting to transfer" and "waiting to upload" but I assumed that "upload" was between Express and Connect and the "Transfer" was between my Vivofit and Express.

    How do I remove an item?

    Rather than removing a file, I would recommend just removing your device from Garmin Express and then repairing it. This will clear the files from your computer and transfer them again from your vivofit. To delete the device:

    Also, make sure that you have the latest version of Garmin Express installed:

    If this does not solve the problem, it would be best to contact Product Support by phone.

    Having same sync issue...

    I am having the exact same problem Pmac1250 mentioned above. First I unpaired/repaired my Vivofit, but still had sync issues. Then I completely uninstalled Garmin Express and reinstalled the program, and it still fails to sync. It gets about 1/3 complete, and still says "Syncing... <1 minute remaining..." but goes no where. Some of the files say, "Waiting to upload..." and others say, "Waiting to transfer..." but one of the files says, "Transferring..." and has for the last half hour while trying to sync. I believe the day it is stuck on is the day I used the heart rate monitor during a workout, if that makes a difference. Please help!
