Garmin Connect not searching for device when trying to upload data ....

Having previously had no problems whatsoever in uploading data from my Garmin Edge 800 or my husbands Garmin Edge 500, when I logged on to upload today I get to the Upload screen but then it does not even search for a device so it is obviously impossible to upload any data ....

Never had this problem before. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Garmin Express. I was previously using the Garmin Communicator Plug In which I had no problems with. Anyone else got this problem, or even better - a solution?

The latest version of Google Chrome for Mac is no longer compatible with the Communicator Plugin. Garmin Express is the correct application to Sync data from your Edge devices. Are you still having Sync issues with Garmin Express?

I am having exactly the same problem. I have windows 7 and have tried both IE and Chrome but in both browsers the upload page does not appear to search for any devices and remain completely blank. I have tried reloading the communicator plug-in but the screen (in IE) says that the communicator plug in is working and it shows my device - an Edge 500. It is just the upload screen that is failing and I cannot upload my latest activities. I have not changed any settings on the browser and I have disabled by Mcafee software to eliminate that as a possible cause.

    Hi Curt

I can now upload data through Garmin Express, but I have just uploaded a session and the details do not appear on the Splits screen at all .... Really annoying, as I can only see the first part of the Split data on the sidebar in the overview of the session. Is there some kind of setting to display it I've missed there? Any advice welcomed please, otherwise this is rendering my workouts pretty useless .... :(

BTW, its lucky I just upgraded my Mac with a later version of OS as Garmin Express now does not work with the earlier version I had on my last Mac ... Why would Garmin do this, and then disable the Communicator Plugin (which incidentally worked fine, there was no need to change)? It just causes problems.

As a matter of interest the Communicator Plug In still works for Strava, Ian Lakey ....

The latest version of Garmin Express works fine on Mac OSX 10.10.1. Always start with deleting the deivce from Express and Connect then add it back again.

How do I delete a fitness device from Garmin Express?

Let us know at what point you have trouble.
