is garmin connect up? (forerunner 210 wont sync)

I see several threads of problems with various devices not syncing with garmin connect, but support asks them to upgrade connect and/or master reset the device, but connect may still be down.

I'm on 3.2.27 of connect (on OSX).
my garmin forerunner 210 (software version 2.70) won't sync, it says i need to link the device to connect (I've had it for a year and its previously been connected), when i try to link the device, it says 'We're sorry.... There's a problem with our servers...'.

my vivofit smart was having sync issues today or yesterday, but it seems to sync fine now.

Is there anything i need to do to sync my forerunner 210 other than just wait for garmin to fix something on their side?

    I am sorry that you are having trouble syncing your Forerunner 210. Garmin Connect is not down so there should not be any issues syncing your device. Since you are able to sync your vivosmart, it sounds like the problem is with the Forerunner 210. It is possible that there is just a corrupt activity on the watch. You can try manually uploading the activities by following the instructions here:

    If any of the files fail to upload, you will need to delete them to prevent the error message in the future.

  • My vivofit smart will upload via the mobile app, but if I connect it to my Mac, it gets the same problem as the forerunner.

    I can upload my forerunner 210 activity to garmin training center without a problem.

    I was able to upload using the instructions you mentioned, but I still seem to have a problem with garmin express. I have three devices, ForeRunner, vivofitsmart, and edge that wont connect via garmin express.
  • I rebooted my mac this morning and after prompting me to link my device to my connect account, I was able to sync; problem seems to be solved.

    I have a forerunner 110 and so does my wife. Both of our watches are no longer connecting to Garmin Express. I can not believe that we have a corrupt file on both watches on the same day
  • try ensuring your garmin connect install is up to date as well as all your devices. then try a reboot of your mac, that did it for me. I think something in the update caused it, but maybe i needed a reboot for the new app to properly work.
