Please help urgently!
I bought Garmin South America map but I cannot install it on my BMW Navigator V. When I click on the link to download the map I’m told to get Garmin Express to install it but I cannot see it in Garmin Express. I reinstalled GE but still I cannot manage to install the new map. I’m now stuck for 3 days in Buenos Aires without a map on my GPS and urgently need it installed so I can leave the city for Brazil.
I tried installing it via Garmin Map Update but during the process I get an error message: “This Garmin GPS is not eligible for update because a previous map version is not installed”.
I read that I need to unlock the new map so GE can recognise, so that is also done but GE still shows me one map only but not the newly bought South America map.
Because of the urgency I would like to receive solutions from those who solved this issue/error or from Garmin Support staff please.
Needless to say that I spent the last 2 days searching the Internet for a solution and sent emails to Garmin Support but since it was the weekend I'm in urgent need for solution ASAP.
