Garmin Express does not recognize MicroSD card on Nuvi 2555 LMT to install all maps

Hello:

I have a Nuvi 2555 LMT that comes with Lifetime Canada, USA, and Mexico maps. I purchased a 4GB Micro SD card and installed Garmin Express on my Mac. I have updated all software on my Mac and my Garmin Device but when I try to modify the regions; Garmin Express gets "stuck" when it tries to "check the Micro SD card. Any suggestions?

What do you mean when you say it gets 'stuck'? Where in the process are you and what if any error message do you get?

I am sorry that you are having trouble with Garmin Express. Please try the following:

Make sure that you have inserted the card reader into your nuvi and not into a memory card reader on your Mac.
If the card is in your nuvi, make sure it is inserted all of the way and that your Mac is detecting the card. You should be able to see the card under Devices in Finder.
- If the Mac is not detecting the card, I would try another memory card.
- If the Mac is detecting your card but Express isn't, try restarting your Mac

Hi Jason:

Your suggestion to restart the Mac has fixed the problem. It finally recognized the card and was able to load all of the updated North America Maps, including Mexico and Canada onto the card in the device. Thank you.
