Can not connect to Garmin Connect

I have the latest version 3.2.21.0 and no update detected
MacOS Yosemite 10.10

USB stick (Garmin)

My watch is detected (310XT) then I can pair the watch to Garmin Express
After this : I choose 'Connect to Garmin Connect' (instead of new account)

I enter my login + pass

Then there is always this failure (5 time between yesterday and today)

Can you please provide some help to fix this issue ?
If not, consider this a showstopper bug and provide a fix ?

Please check the Forerunner 310XT to see what software version is installed. Press Mode-->Settings-->About.

Another possibility is to use the email address associated with the account rather than the username and or change your password.

I have the same issue, tells me my software is the latest version.

I Look forward to a reply that does not tell me to check firmware, what am I an idiot?

    Fix it
  • You could be an idiot for all anyone knows. Whatever your mental state, the first thing that has to be known is the base condition. Hence the question. Stop being angry and start being cooperative.

Have you tried connecting using your email address rather than the username as suggested above?
Have you the most recent version of Garmin Express?
Can you log-in to your Garmin Connect account from your Mac?
Are you able to manually upload activities to Garmin Connect?
Are you using the 'Modern' Garmin Connect?

    Ha Ha, very true indeed.

Have you tried connecting using your email address rather than the username as suggested above? Yes
Have you the most recent version of Garmin Express? Yes (Downloaded today)
Can you log-in to your Garmin Connect account from your Mac? Yes
Are you able to manually upload activities to Garmin Connect? With the ANT software reinstalled yes
Are you using the 'Modern' Garmin Connect? The newest one they have today

So to get it to work all I had to do was the following.

Uninstall all and Any Garmin Software
    Install Ant+ driver and software
Manually upload all data to Garmin Connect from 'Classic' view
Perform a hard reset of my device (Turn off then hold mode and power on until asked if I wish to delete all user data)
    Setup my device again
Re install Garmin Express and allow it to remove ANT+ software
    Open Garmin Connect
    Open Garmin Express
I am now updating GPS software and waiting to sync 115 events

    Easy!
  • Grand stuff. I would recommend you keep fewer activities on the 910. Once you've got them off onto your computer, there really is no need to have them on there. Never convinced that Garmin works too well with lots of activities on their devices.

Have to admit to being a bit curious. It's been a while since I've had to do a hard reset on either of our 910s, but I though all data was cleared, including activity data. Yet here you are, synching 115 activities after a hard reset.

No matter if it's working of course. Just curious that's all.

    Thanks !!!!

    Thanks for the tip !
I encountered exactly the same problem with my forerunner 310t and iMac OS X Yosemite and it works great !
Hope it will help Garmin to fix this issue ! :)

  • Try the steps without the hard reset. It's not really necessary as the problem is usually a conflict between ANT Agent and Garmin Express.
