Re-syncing workouts with Garmin Express

I went for a run on the 3/11 and like most times synced the my FR610 when I got home. The sync didn't work (I understand there was issues that day) and nothing shows on Garmin connect or in the folder on my PC (so I can't manually upload the .fit).

I haven't had any luck getting that workout to sync since. Good news is the workout is still on the watch. Workouts I've done since then have been fine and are showing in Garmin connect.

So it seems the watch has decided it sent that file and doesn't need to resend it.... how can I get the file on the watch to resend?

    I am sorry that you are having trouble syncing your activity. Please follow these instructions to resend the activity:

    • Press MENU
    • Select History
    • Select Options
    • Select Upload
    • Select activity you want to upload
    • Select Yes
    • Repeat steps 6 and 7 as needed

    Thank you for the reply.
    I tried the resend instructions Jason but it isn't working. I select the workout then press upload> yes as you say.
    The watch then returns to the list of workouts. After a few moments the watch auto sync's again with garmin express:
    - The watch shows the transfer data screen.
    - Garmin Express shows sync two activities. Then gives the message sync complete.

    Looking at the detail view it does say its transferring the correct workout (I can't upload the screen shot for some reason).

    But when I look on garmin connect and the mac hard drive the workout still isn't there?

    I can't see a transfer all option either.

    If the file didn't make it to the computer it is likely that the file is corrupt since other files are making it to connect.

  • Do you have the box checked to delete after a successful sync? If you have uncheck it.

    The Transfer All option is further down the list when you go into History.

    Well-- no luck. But not world ending so I'll get over it. :p

    Bit weird-- this problem was actually with two files that morning. Both have the same problem. Can only theorise that something got corrupted during that sync glitch that express was having that day.

    Thanks for the suggestions still and yes I have delete after sync off thanks.

    Not necessarily. Check the thread about having GE delete after successful synch!
