Hi, yesterday I tried to upload a file from my 910xt. It said it had synced and that the activity was ready to view at garmin connect, but it hasn't appeared there. I have searched for the folder ~/Library2/Application Support/Garmin/GarminConnect/ and the folder doesn't exist. So is there any way I can find that activity or is it lost forever!!
There are 2 folder locations in Express when files are sent from the device to the Mac. One file is from when the data is sent from device to Express. The other is after Express uploads this data to Garmin Connect. See the FAQ's :
Where do my activities go on the computer before they are uploaded to Garmin Connect?
Why are activity files from my ANT device not being stored on my computer once I have uploaded them to Garmin Connect using Garmin Express?
It's not /Library2. If you are looking for the folder, it will just be in Library, that 2 should be a superscript for further information at the bottom of the article. It should just be: /Library/Application Support/Garmin if you have Garmin programs installed.
Followed steps Library/Application Support/Garmin. That Garmin folder is empty. Is it a matter of manually creating the rest of the folders as you've specified?
It sounds like that other activity became corrupt somehow. I apologize for the inconvenience. Yesterday, when I went to sync my vivovit and couldn't, when it finally did complete a sync I lost a day of steps for some reason. Maybe our experiences are related. I am trying to look into it.
They're probably looking in the wrong place; notice lovetherain is looking in /Library, as you told him, but that's not where Express hides things.
In your home directory there is a folder named Library (note, not the top level Library folder /Library). Apple has hidden it so you don't muck around in it and break things. To get to that folder, the easiest way is to use the Finder's Go menu and choose "Go to Folder...". In the box that pops up, type ~/Library (note: NOT /Library). The ~ is Unix-speak for "my home directory". Your Library folder should pop up, and you can navigate normally from there, since Apple doesn't hide the sub-folders. If you've used Express at all, then you will have a ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express folder. Don't delete anything from it unless you know what you're doing, but you can look as much as you'd like.
