FR10 won't symc and takes forever to find a GPS signal when I start running

I waited 5 minutes for it to start getting a signal but the progress bar moved so slow that I gave up and went on with my run without the watch. FWIW, I live in downtown Manhattan, not some secluded area.

After coming back, I decided to sync two workouts from last week and they wouldn't sync. What is wrong with my FR 10?
  • If it is taking a while to get a satellite signal it could be as simple as where you are standing in Manhattan because of the tall buildings vs standing in the middle of an open area where you have a clear view of the sky. It could also be caused by a few other factors such as the unit software needing to be updated or possibly needing a master reset. The following FAQ may be of some help with that issue: http://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/simpleCase.htm?caseId={188b7fd0-60c7-11e2-f3fb-000000000000}&kbName=garmin

Regarding sync issues, there were some problems because of the DST change but that has all been resolved as of yesterday. If you are still having sync issues make sure that Garmin Express is the current version of 3.2.21.
