Fail to upload latest activity (Gamin Express 3.2.21.0, Forerunner 620)

Hi,

I repeatedly fail to upload today's activity. I only get the error message

> Uploading to Garmin Commect.
> Unknown error
>
> 02 Nov 2014 10:31 Error
> Activity

I created the workout on the web interface and sent it to the device. The download worked fine, but the upload of the activity failed.
I created 2 more workouts and again did the download succeed, but not the upload.

If I go on the Mac finder, I see a file 4B2A3134.FIT in the folder /Volumes/GARMIN/Garmin/ACTIVITY (last modified today 11:03).

BTW I also tried to upload this activity both by wifi and bluetooth with no more success.

Is there any way to troubleshoot this quite frustrating situation or is there a way to send the file by another way?

PS: I've noticed that I can download a limited amount of workouts. That is I had to delete some from the /Volumes/GARMIN/Garmin/WORKOUTS before I could download new ones. Could it be that my last activity has been corrupted because of a storage space shortage? If so, is there any way to get at save at least a part of the activity?

    I am also receiving this error. I seemed to sync just fine yesterday, and then after my morning run today I came across this upload error. I tried creating a new run and it failed to upload that as well. There must be a bug with the new 3.0 update.
  • I also received an error this morning attempting to upload. I've got 3.2.19.0 (haven't updated yet), and a Garmin 220. Same error. I also wasn't able to upload via syncing with bluetooth to my phone or by copying the .fit file and attempting to upload through Garmin Connect. I suspect Garmin is having an issue today with being able to upload.

    I use version 3.2.21.0 (the latest version according to the application) with a Forerunner 305 and also receive this "Unknown error" for every activity recorded. In the application's log files there are lots of statements like the one below:

    2014-11-02 20.25.50 (GMT+01.00) | 5135 | E | [SyncUpload-xxxxxx] Upload Response was nil for file /Users/jesper/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/RegisteredDevices/xxxxxxxx/PendingSyncUploads/History/2014-10-27-053717.TCX: Error Domain=HttpStatusCodeErrorDomain Code=500 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (HttpStatusCodeErrorDomain error 500.)" UserInfo=uuuuuuuuu {NSErrorFailingURLKey=connectapi.garmin.com/.../upload}

    This is definitely an error on the Garmin server.

    Add me to the list. A ride on my Edge 510 did not upload to garmin connect. I then created another "ride" (1sec) and that DID upload. Garmin Connect won't upload the .fit file manually that had the ride i wanted to uploaded. "An error occurred with your upload. Try again." I was, however, able to easily upload the ride to strava manually so the file works. i have version 3.20

    I have read that there are currently issues with uploading to GC due to a time zone change somewhere in the world? I may have been lucky in getting my files to upload so I guess patience until the time zone issue is resolved is now needed.

    Upload succeeded this morning

    Thanks to all who replied to my post.

    I tried again this morning and the upload succeeded !

    It's a little bit confusing. Is there any place that informs users about opened issues? This activity was quite hard for me and I really wanted to analyze it. So I was really concerned by these upload failures. A dashboard like google's one (http://www.google.com/appsstatus) would have helped.
