Garmin 200, Details to Garmin Connect? No Device Connected??

Hi Guys,

I have a Garmin 200, I use it for time and distance only. I rerely upload to Garmin Connect; although I have in the past. I recently bought myself an Apple Macbook Pro Retina 13, in, downloaded Garmin Connect and signed in! that was ok, but it's all changed since I used it last, (over a year ago) so, did the update etc... but cannot load my Garmin 200 to it. It says : You have no device on Garmin Connect! Add A Device - Using Garmin Express.

You have no device
on Garmin Connect.

Add a device using
Garmin Express.

So I did; and it has downloaded! It's in a download app; at the bottom of the page; but how do I get it to work on Garmin Connect Dashboard? Anyone know how?

Thanks.
  • Looks as though I'm not the only one who doesn't know how! No worries! I'll look for a plugin method?
  • Unsure what you are doing. You don't download Garmin Connect it's a website you access.

If you were connecting to GC last year you must have had ANT Agent loaded and Garmin Communicator. These are being replaced with Garmin Express and the new Garmin Connect website

You need to make sure ANT Agent is fully uninstalled. New installs of Garmin Express should do that for you, all being well.

You then need to 'pair' your device with Garmin Express.

Then you connect Garmin Express to your Garmin Connect account.

Read your manual for instructions on how to pair your device.

    Hi Philip,
    Thanks for your reply.

Yes Garmin Connect has certainly changed since the last time I used it! I use my edge 200 to keep track of the distance I cycle; and how much time it's taken. Don't do much uploading to Garmin Connect; although I have in the past. I have just purchased a new Apple Macbook Pro Retina 13in, Laptop. I also lost my Hotmail recently, so I needed to change my email address and at the same time update Garmin Connect. Followed the instructions for Garmin Express; but that's it really - download seems to have worked; but not synced with Edge 200 and Garmin Connect. Maybe the older method of a Communicator Plugin is what's needed?

Garmin Express does not need the Communicator Plugin to communicate with Connect. When you added the Edge 200 to Garmin Express there was an option to Create a new account or Sync with an existing account. I'm assuming you choose to sync with an existing account and entered in your username and password? There aren't any devices associated with your myGarmin account which there should be if your username and password were entered correctly in Express. Please use the information in the FAQ: What should I do if I'm having issues with the Garmin Express client?
