Error installing new "Device software 5.30"

Hi guys,

I have checked for new software using the latest GE and several files were available. About two to three files downloaded and installed successfully but new "Device software 5.30" always failed.

I got this screen:

As I can read this forum you must be joking with us with all the new series of Garmin 2xx9. I'm still unable to install any new maps and now we are unable to install new FW. Great navigation. I can tell you guys, I have at home also Tomtom GO500 for more than half and I didn't have any single problem with it. In comparing to new Garmin I'm just pissed. And I'm not alone.

Things like this happen from time to time (remember when TomTom put that one out a couple of years back that stopped a whole bunch of their units working at all), but it clearly means that the deployment of the download package has not been tested well enough - and what I don't like is the fact I can't choose to go to the last working version - so my shiny new 'Advanced' nuvi is now sat at release 2.0 until they sort out 5.30 - and I can't get to any of the packages inbetween! Let's hope when they open up on Monday they sort it out quick. I raised a support call by email earlier, I really hope they don't start asking me to 'check my firewall' and all that sort of stuff first........

I am sorry for the troubles. I was able to reproduce the issue in house and I have created a case for it. I will let you know when the issues are resolved via email.
