Cannot Sign in to Garmin Connect

Hello,
I have a Forerunner 210 and it is all working fine but whenever I try to log in to my garmin connect account it eternally redirects each time between connect.garming.com and sso.garmin.com and will not connect- so browser times out. I bought the watch so that I could log my runs and see my progress etc. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this? Garmin express is up to date and my mac is running OSX 10.9.4.
Cheers.

Have you made any changes to your web browser preferences or security settings on the MAC? Make sure your browser is set up to accept cookies. Use your Garmin Connect username and password instead of a social site username and password when syncing the Forerunner 210. Without any other information I can only suggest you install Express on another computer and see if that will sync just to know if the issue is hardware or settings related.

  • Thanks Curt,
I can log in on other computers (and other macs but not on mine). I think it is because I have an accountability software that interferes with cookies. The software is called covenant eyes- so if you have any ideas as to how I might use it- that would be great- if not I will contact them and see if I can work around it. Thanks for the help.

Covenant Eyes has historically caused issues with Connect. The only way that I have found to allow it to work would be to uninstall Covenant Eyes or use a different computer.

  • Friends, I know it has been some times. However, I will post for the benefit of others. If you have Covenant Eyes, that could indeed be an issue. You will need to go into the website and put the websites in that are causing the redirect issue as "allowed" sites. This resolved the problem for me.
