Garmin Express won't sync with my forerunner 110 anymore (Mac)

My Mac (and Garmin Express) have stopped recognising my forerunner 110.

It has worked in the past and I have reinstalled Garmin Express and done a hard reset on my watch.

The watch will still charge when connected to the computer but doesn't even show up in Finder anymore.

Any ideas?

Thanks :-)

This doesn't sound like an Express issue if the Mac is no longer seeing the device in mass storage mode in your Finder window. This sounds more like a device/cable issue. Can the device be recognized as a mass storage drive on a different computer Mac or Windows machine? I know you have connected the device multiple times to the Mac previously but are you sure that the pins are lining up on the clip correctly. What can happen sometimes if they don't line up the device will charge but data can't be sent. When this happens the device will look like it's in mass storage mode on the unit it self but it's not actually connected correctly.

Thank you Mike, I will check and have a look, I have tried it on two different machines (both Macs)

I'm in the same position. The watch has worked perfectly up until 9th December. Now it says it's saving the activity when I connect it to my MacBook Pro but nothing shows up on my activities - meanwhile it charges Ok.
    Help!

    evening.....exactly the same issue!!
    any solutions??
I am thinking about selling my 210 as the whole thing is pretty buggy, not the first time i have struggled. Maybe a BT heart monitor chest strap and an iPhone app will work much better? at least you don't have to mess around plugging the watch into a Mac to try and load the data !!
  • For those of who who had a device working with Express on the Mac but will no longer Sync, please delete the device from Express then add it back again. Uninstalling Express from the Mac is not quite the same as Deleting the device from Express, unless you know to navigate through the hidden Library folder to find the files and folders associated with the device.

How do I delete a fitness device from Garmin Express?
