During the map update to City Navigator NTU 2015.20 for my zumo 590 the gmapdem.img is disappeared.
Using Garmin Express for Mac version 3.2.17.0.
Before map update use JaVaWa Device Manager to make a backup of your maps to your Harddisk! Then you can restore the gmapdem.img after the update (if it's missing).
