FR610 / sync problems / re-occuring message about sync done

After the update to the MAC Express (from ANT+ App before) and some annoying messages during update, the sync did work the last two times. Today it says the sync is finished but the new activity was not uploaded.

Since the update I do get SYNC finished message (message central) every minute! There should not be a reason to sync again and again.

When do you fix that messy software?

With the old website and the Ant app everything was working fine.
  • Express should not be trying to sync the device every minute. That being said, we should follow some basic troubleshooting to see if it doesn't correct this issue:

    Followed the procedures described.
    Software was the newest.
After removing the FR, restart of MAC and reassigning the FR the sync only happens once (or by request). So this solved the every minute sync. My last activity is still not synced. It is stored on the FR but not on the calendar or activity tab.

Is there a way to get the unsynced activity to Connect?

Can we expect to get a solution for this ? To be able to sync again my FR610 i need to make a hard reset to the watch. Everything is gonna work for few and for no reason sync becoming impossible
that's really annoying losing so much time with this
using last firmware and last GE version

As there is no solution from Garmin yet, I solved it my way. I removed Garmin Express and installed the ANT Agent again. Using the "old" web version this works for me. If Garmin should stop this solution and do not provide a working alternative I would return the FR610 and asking for my money. This was a very disappointing experience with Garmin!

Beginning Nov. 2, 2014 Garmin Express will not work properly for me. It tells me there is a Time Zone Map update to install and 43 items to sync from my 610 all on Nov 3. and one from Dec. 30, 1989 --- YES 1989! I have restored the 610 3 times, deleted Garmin Express from my Mac 4 times and re-installed it. I even deleted my device from Garmin Connect. I cannot get the device to delete from Garmin Express, which makes no sense since I deleted the program multiple times. Anyone have any help?

I am not sure why you are unable to delete the device out of Express. If this is the case what you may want to try is deleting the file that Express creates when it adds a device. The folder location is: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/RegisteredDevices. In the devices folder you should locate your device's UnitID folder. Try deleting this folder. Once the folder has been removed try uninstalling Express see FAQ:
How do I completely uninstall Garmin Express?
Once Express has been completely removed try doing a fresh installation and see if this makes any difference.

I have EXACTLY the same problem you describe and have tried similar fixes but nothing works. Did you get help from anyone yet?

Did you follow the instructions given by Mike to troubleshoot this issue?
