Files to copy

I just bought a new Mac, and want to bring over files from my old one that I have used with BaseCamp. What file/s do I need to copy and where are they located?
I'm going to copy them to a flash drive, Migration assist didn't work to well for me.
Thanks,
Keith

The steps may very depending on what exactly you are trying to bring over or back up. If you are just trying to back up your waypoint/track data/route data you can open up BaseCamp on the old Mac and once BaseCamp is open:
    Click File
    Click Export My Collection
Click Export and it will save your data to where ever you indicate it to.

Open BaseCamp on new Mac and follow the same steps accept hit import and navigate to the storage location you saved your My Collection to. The file should be called MyCollections.GPX

The other thing you can do is enable your Cloud storage and back up your MyCollection that way. See FAQ: What is the Cloud Storage feature in BaseCamp?

Now if you are looking to transfer mapping from your old Mac to the new one you really don't need to do this part. What you can do is Download Garmin Express and add your device to Express. Once the device has been added you can re-install your maps see FAQ: How do I reinstall maps or change coverage using Garmin Express?
