I'm leaving for Europe Saturday and I've been trying to get nuMaps Lifetime Europe that I purchased to download to my device for the last two days with no luck at all. I have nuvi 3597LMTHD. Running Chrome on a Mac with OS X 10.9.4. I tried it in Safari also but didn't work either.
Here's what I tried on my.garmin.com
- while my nuvi is connected, click on myMaps tab
- I see nuMaps Lifetime Europe
- I click on the "Add to Device" menu
- I see my nuvi listed and click on it
- See a "Gathering Information (this may take several seconds)" message
- Get a message "Good news!" Your maps are currently up-to-date. Here's how to keep them that way: Shows me a download for Garmin Express. Garmin Epress is already installed on my computer.
- If I click on "Download for Mac" (for Garmin Express) anyways, I get a"An HTTP 404 Error has occurred"
What I see in Garmin Express:
I can only see my US map. No mention of my newly purchased EU one.
Can someone help? I'm a software engineer, so know what I'm doing. This is really bizarre and annoying. I have searched the web and tried any workaround listed anywhere. I cannot call support since it only works during regular business hours which is when I'm at work. Very disappointing that after purchasing such an expensive device and investing in the extra map on top I have to spend all my evenings dealing with this.
