Forerunner 210 and Mac 10.6.8

I have a Forerunner 210. it is two months old. I hadn't used it for two weeks and just tried to sync. with my Mac running 10.6.8. The Forerunner 210 has been great and worked flawlessly till today.

Normally I would just plug it in to my Mac and I'd be good to go checking out my latest workout. Today it wasn't found by my computer and therefore obviously didn't work the way I was expecting.

In researching today saw a post by someone. not Garmin, saying support was discontinued for Mac 10.6.8. Can I get confirmation from someone if it won't work any longer? Is there a work around so I can still use my watch?

Garmin Express is no longer compatible with OS X 10.6. You will need to upgrade to a later version if you would like to use Garmin Express. That being said, you can still upload manually from Connect on 10.6.

Mac 10.6.8 and Garmin....simple solution

Have found a simple solution, actually referenced by Garmin below but would have been helpful for them to provide detail. In summary a manual upload is the solution.

1. Connect Garmin watch to Mac via USB, and wait for it to show as a device
2. Open the "modern" version of Garmin Connect in a web browser ie the new version that it now defaults to and sign in
3. Navigate to Activities -> Import (top right of screen)
4. This will show a pop up. Navigate to Garmin -> Garmin -> Activities and locate the file you want to upload. They are all date and time labelled
5. The only loss of functionality is you now need to manually know which activities have already been previously been uploaded and which haven't, but otherwise all data can still be loaded into Garmin Connect
