910 XT MAC downloading data to device issues

Hi - Help very much needed.

910XT forerunner 2.20 firmware - Mac latest OS - chrome /firefox - old and new version of Connect.

After installation of Garmin Express - I have been enable to download data (calendar, training plans) to the device.

The device is :
No devices found.
Please connect your device now and try again.

On the old and new version.

I tried reinstalling Express.
Using Ant agent again - but pairing fails now.

The only think i can think of is doing a complete delete of all data on my computer and device and try again. I am not sure that that would work and I d rather try alternative solutions if any.

Help would be very welcome

Note that data transfer from device to Express and to Connect is flawless.

    Connect Modern should be able to detect your device when sending from Calendar or Workouts as long as you have paired with Garmin Express and Synced. Check the Devices menu in Connect Modern. If the device is listed, it should be available when sending.

    Delete the device from Garmin Express then pair it again. Do not go back and forth between ANT and Express. Please see the FAQ: What troubleshooting options can I try when my ANT enabled fitness device will not upload data?

    Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately the device is indeed visible on Connect Modern (my devices) but the "download data" doesnt work. I will try to delete device from Express and try again.

  • I deleted device from Garmin Express (not from Connect as I was asked from Express Menu).
    Tried again without success.

    Deleted Device on Express
    Re-Paired on Express
    Created and successfully uploaded dummy data from Express to Connect.

    Still unable to download any data from Connect unto device.

    If necessary I can send you logins.

    Can you please verify what version of Garmin Express you are running. Open Express then in the upper left menu bar Click Garmin Express then "About Garmin Express". The current version of Express is 3.2.16. The reason for checking this in a previous version of Express there was an issue with the 910XT receiving files from the Connect website. The issue that I have just described has since been corrected. Please make sure you are on the latest version of Express. This aside if the device is unable to be seen by Connect and the device firmware is up to date and you are on Express version 3.2.16 then there's something possibly blocking communication. At this point it would be very difficult to trouble shoot this issue and I would recommend contacting support.

    I will try from different computers.

    I'm also having problems syncing data from my 910XT. I've checked the version of Garmin Express (3.2.16) and I can see the Data Transferring message between the ANT stick and the device. Then, the 910 screen goes blank and turns off. It is almost impossible to turn back on, but when it does come on, it immediately goes back into the Transferring Data mode. Garmin Express gives me a pop-up to say the sync is complete and to go to Garmin Connect, but the data is not there in the Activities list. If I click on the sync button from my Dashboard, it says there's nothing to sync.

    I have two different runs for today, listed in my 910 History, but neither of them has appeared in my Activities list. This has happened since I installed Garmin Express on Sunday.

    I'm running it on iMac OS X Mavericks, 10.9.4. My 910XT software is also up to date, I assume.

    UPDATE: In the time it took me to write down all of this data, I repeated the process above twice. The data is now synced. My new question is...why doesn't it do it the first time?

    Hi,

    I have tried all solution proposed above including master reset and using another computer/system to avoid any external factor which might prevent the new garmin express to properly function.
    > I tried on both and mac and on every existing browser.

    It still upload fine from the watch to Express but doesnt work from site to watch as it fails to see the watch.
    I came up with only three possible explanations:
    1.The Ant+ USB I am using has been damaged - even though it was working fine before the upgrade. This is still a possibility.
    2. Connection default due to Geographic location : China. New site speed requirements seem to be higher - but trying on the old site doesnt work anymore as well.
    3. Issues in the software launched.

    I will try to see if I can check 1 and 2.

    This issue greatly affect end-user experience as I am no longer able to preset workouts. :(
    IS there any app + ant+ adapter that could bypass this issue (from online data to watch) on current app i can't see training plans, calendar etc.

    Are you trying to transfer data with Garmin Express? If not, you can download it at http://software.garmin.com/en-US/express.html. Garmin Express is the program you will want to use to transfer data. If you&#8217;re currently using Express make sure the program is up to date.     2. Create a 30 second test activity to transfer

    3. Connect the Ant Stick to your computer.

    4. Run the Express program

    5. Select Get Started

    6. When prompted to add device click continue

    7. Select "Yes" on the watch to Pair

    8. Add your device to your existing account when prompted

    9. Express will check for updates for your device

    10. Run the updates needed



    If you still having issues pairing or syncing data its possible you have corrupt data on watch preventing the transfer. At this point you can do a master reset.

    To perform the master reset:

    Power Forerunner off
    Press and hold Mode and Enter buttons
    Press and release Power button (still holding Mode and Enter)
    Release Mode and Enter once Power is released
    The reset on the Forerunner 910XT is successful if the device finishes powering up and goes to the setup wizard. Try the steps again if the setup wizard does not appear.

    Leave the device outside with a clear view of the sky for a minimum of 20 minutes to acquire satellite data once the reset and setup wizard are complete.

      What pages in Connect Modern are you trying to send from?

      • Calendar?
      • Workouts?
      • Courses?
      • Training Plans?

      1. Are there any items in the Sync menu on Connect Modern still waiting to be sent to the Forerunner 910XT? If so please delete them.

      2. Clean out any old download items for the 910XT from the Mac.

      Go to: ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/Registered Devices/unit id/PendingSyncDownloads/ delete all files from this location then Empty the Trash on the Mac.


      3. You mentioned earlier that you went back to the ANT Agent. Let make sure all data associated with the ANT Agent is deleted from the computer.

      • Quit Express from the black triangle icon in the Menu Bar up top
      • Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/
      • Delete the unitid folder for the 910XT
      • Empty Trash on Mac
      • Open Express from Applications and try again.
